4. DESCRIPTION
Position Summary	To carry out acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, development, education and consulting services with regard to the medical technology employed within the Central Hospital Network, and to set up and operate specified items of medical equipment in clinical settings.
Essentials	Associate Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution; Experience in the servicing of electronic equipment; Experience in the use of computers including Microsoft Office packages; Demonstrated ability for good written and verbal communication.
Desirables	Experience working in a hospital or health related environment; Knowledge of Australian Standards pertaining to Biomedical Engineering; Experience in the cost effective sourcing of 3rd party suppliers of parts and services.
