Professional Delegates Committee, Professional Vocational Committee and Health Professionals Forum
One of the problems faced by the health professionals has been their occupational diversity. Whilst each health profession provides an important role in the provision of health services, it is argued that the diversity and relatively small numbers in each profession has contributed to a lack of recognition and representation within healthcare systems, especially on industrial issues. It is with these factors in mind that the Health Services Union has established two committees to deal with the industrial, social and economic pressures on health professionals and their careers: the HSU Professional Vocational Committees (PVCs) and the HSU Professional Delegates Committee (PDC).
